Arkansas named No. 1 pro-life state in the nation for 7th consecutive year...
Arkansas has been named the “Most Pro-Life State” in the U.S. by Americans United for Life for a historic seventh consecutive year, it was announced October 28 at a press conference featuring Gov. Sarah Sanders at New Beginnings Pregnancy Center in Alexander.
In receiving the designation, Americans United for Life recognizes that the State of Arkansas ranks above all 50 states based on state laws protecting the unborn, the elderly, the disabled, and the terminally ill.
“Arkansas being named the most pro-life state in the U.S. by Americans United for Life for a seventh consecutive year is historic,” said Amber Singleton, executive director of Arkansas Right to Life. “It serves as a testament to the citizens of Arkansas throughout the history of our state who have embraced a culture of life by following natural law with state law that honors our Judeo-Christian heritage and ethics.”
Singleton added, “Today we face challenges of the unlawful, deregulated abortion pill flooding into our state, and the irreversible harm it is doing to pregnant mothers who are often unaware of the dangers of the pill. That’s why it is so important that Arkansas Right to Life continue to provide vital and life-saving information about fetal development, abortion, alternatives to abortion, and work diligently to educate the public in making informed decisions that are beneficial for both the mom and her baby.”
She thanked pro-life supporters who work diligently to keep Arkansas pro-life.
“We so appreciate all who work with us to sow truth into the fabric of our society so that the most vulnerable and voiceless in our society can be protected against those who advocate for what looks convenient in the front end but leaves brokenness on the back end.”
