John Kerry

George W. Bush

PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION

John Kerry has voted against the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act every chance he had – six times.   George W. Bush promoted and signed the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act into law, which bans the use of the gruesome partial-birth abortion procedure.

GOVERNMENT FUNDING OF ABORTION

John Kerry supports using tax dollars to pay for abortion.   George W. Bush opposes the use of tax dollars to pay for abortions.

ABORTION ON DEMAND

John Kerry has stated, “As Roe v. Wade made clear, the right to choose abortion is a fundamental right, based on each woman’s right to privacy. Neither the Government, nor any person has the right to infringe on that freedom.”   George W. Bush opposes the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion on demand and he supports legal protection for unborn children.

SUPREME COURT APPOINTMENTS

John Kerry has stated, “As President, I will only appoint Supreme Court Justices who will uphold a woman’s right to choose.”   George W. Bush has stated that he will appoint Supreme Court justices who share his conservative philosophy and who will strictly interpret the Constitution according to its text and history.

JOHN EDWARDS

DICK CHENEY

John Edwards, in his six years in the Senate, has compiled a 0% pro-life voting record. He voted to keep partial-birth abortions legal and he supports tax funding of abortion.   Dick Cheney has taken a strong pro-life position. During his 10 years in Congress he compiled a 100% pro-life voting record. He opposes partial-birth abortion and he voted against tax funding of abortion.
