National March For Life 2010
Arkansas Right To Life joins
DC MARCH FOR LIFE!
On Thursday, January 21, 2010, 55 ardent pro-lifers departed
on the first organized charter bus trip by Arkansas Right
to Life to attend the national March for Life in Washington, D.C.
The following are quotes from printed news articles and passengers:
“Arkansans joined a river of pro-life people flowing
down Constitution
Avenue to the U. S. Supreme Court, carrying signs, chanting
pro-life
slogans, praying and singing during the 37th annual March
for Life January
22…rode a bus for 21 hours…to the nations capitol
for the event. They
ranged in age from 12 years old to seniors…many were going
to the March
for Life for the first time.”

Passenger Armando Rios,
Associate Editor, Arkansas Catholic, January 30, 2010
“March for Life organizer Nellie Gray told
the press that the numbers this
year far exceeded those at last year’s march which were
estimated at more
than 300,000…Ken Hiegel, one of the founding members
of Arkansas
Right to Life said, ‘the people kept coming by the tens
of thousands’…
Becky Hartman traveled from Harrison, AR…she participated
in the
march to help get the message across that it is okay
to stand up for life.” Rose Mimms said, “It’s
wonderful to march for a cause, but everyday we
have to go out into our communities one on one and
speak the message of
life.”

Passenger Mary M. Larmoyeux, Examiner.com, January

“Who would climb on a cramped charter bus
and take an uncomfortable, sleepless ride into the night? Some
of us were Baptists, some were
members of the Church of Christ and Assemblies
of God and the rest were
Catholic…together on that bus, and the reason was as
big as life. There are
no words to describe the awesome enormity of
the crowd.”
